Update - I’ve booked the apartment from 5/18 to 7/1. Now only available from 7/1-8/1.
My actual travel dates are roughly 5/18 to 7/21. The apartment is available the entirety of this time. I’m flexible on getting out of the apartment early or returning late - let’s figure out something that works for both of us.
Apartment
The apartment is a 3 bd / 2 ba with an in-unit washer/dryer.
My room is the master with its own private bathroom.
The room comes furnished with my stuff.
Location
The apartment is close to Astor Place. If you’re unfamiliar with the city, this is a phenomenal location. It is walking distance from all fashionable south Manhattan neighborhoods, and < 5 minutes walk from Union Square, a central transit station affording you subway access to any part of the city.
People
My two roommates will be here during your stay, they are:
- Marco Schwiebert - UMich CS alumni, California guy, loves code and soccer (https://www.linkedin.com/in/marcoschwiebert/).
- Ittai Svidler - UMich CS alumni, from Michigan, also loves code and weightlifting (https://www.linkedin.com/in/ittai-svidler/).
They are super chill dudes, would recommend hanging with them over some espressos on a Saturday morning some time.
Please note - vibes are more downtempo. If you’re looking for a place to party a lot or host late in the evening frequently, this is likely not the best bet.
Cost
$3400 per month
Happy to negotiate - I am far more concerned with getting an easy-to-coordinate with and friendly person in the apartment, than I am in negotiating on cost. Let’s figure out something that works for both of us.
